Betty loves her flower garden, she tends to them a little bit almost every day.  She doesn't have the time to really get into them but it does not keep her from liking to see things grow.  Betty grew up on a farm and her dad was a farmer all his life, he always liked to see things grow.  He is probably the person that inspired Betty to grow flowers, trees, and vegetables.  The more she plants the more she learns about the simple joy of growing plants.  As you can see from the flower pictures she is gotten very good at it. 

     The flower beds have been changed several times over the years.  The property was a weekend place for about twelve years so Betty couldn't really devote the proper time to them.  Now that it is our full time residence she is getting a handle on what she wants out of a flower garden.  She wants to see different flowers blooming at different times of the year.  This way there is always something in bloom.  With the birdbath in the garden birds are always draws there and the cats are always on the lookout for mice and snakes.  As you can see in this pictures the cats are just going out to a day of hard work "sleeping" before they come back inside the house to get more sleep.
