The livingroom was the first room finished in the old house.

ABOVE:  Living/dining room.  The living room bead board has been painted and the original wood floors have been sanded, stained, and beeswaxed.

The bedroom has been painted, floors refinished and closets added.
ABOVE:  What a darling bedroom!
There was no kitchen in the house, it all had to be put in.
ABOVE: Randy built the open cupboards & installed the lower cabinets and Betty primed & painted them.  Randy also built the pine and tin free-standing pantry (on left) & Betty hole-punched the design on the tin.  They both installed the tile counters.  To see the updated kitchen go to the "Add-On-Construction" page of this site.

ABOVE: Randy and Betty finished out the attic and it was their extra guest bedroom.  This bedroom is not used anylonger since the garage has two bedrooms and two bathrooms above it.

The bathroom is made for two people.
ABOVE: Betty & Randy installed the cabinets & put in tile counters.  Team work!
Back Porch has been enclosed.
ABOVE: This used to be an open back porch.  When it was added about 10 years ago, the carpenter, whom Randy assisted in building it,  told us that he built it in such a way that windows & doors could be added when we 'decided to inclose it'.  We insisted emphatically that we would NEVER inclose it as part of the house!!  Ha!  Famous last words!  (as you can see, it is obviously inclosed!)
The 12' X 42' front porch comes in handy for large crowds.
ABOVE: This is our favorite part of the house. . .the front porch.  We have had many gatherings here.  It overlooks our pond & is very tranquil.
The sunsets from the front porch will take your breath away.

ABOVE: Yet another reason we love our front porch - the sunsets!  Life is Good in the Country!
